Nick's message to the LUQ LTER

For those of you attending the ESA meeting in Portland, Oregon, Luquillo LTER will meet in the Broadway Room of the Doubletree Hotel in Portland from 12-2 on Wednesday, August 8.

We will continue talk about our conceptual framework. We are advised to start our renewal proposal with a fresh look at our framework and that a good way to do that is to look at the frameworks in past proposals. Please come to this meeting with some ideas on said framework. Attached is a presentation recounting the history of our overarching questions and frameworks (adapted from a talk at our 2011 annual meeting).

Also attached is some thinking on our framework from the meeting in June.

Those of you not attending the Portland meeting are invited to comment on these issues also, of course.

The next Luquillo LTER Annual Meeting will be January 19 and 20, 2013. The Executive Committee will meet on January 18, 2012.
