Job Description: A full time position for a lab and field assistant is available in Dr. Whendee Silver’s lab at UC Berkeley, Department of Environmental Science, Policy and Management.  Assistant will work under direct supervision of a graduate student on doctoral research, and will be based in Berkeley , but will participate in sampling trips in Puerto Rico (2-6 weeks at a time).  Lab work includes processing and analysis of ecological samples; field work includes hiking, carrying equipment, and field measurements.  Undergraduate coursework in biology, chemistry and/or ecology required.  Lab/field experience and Spanish proficiency a plus.  Please submit cover letter and resume to wsilver@nature.berkeley.edu and dcusack@nature.berkeley.edu.
