News from El Verde

CTE litter bag experiment. The Richardsons and IITF have now completed the invertebrate counts and litter weights for the first three collections and the next three should be completed by the end of November.

From the technicians at El Verde Field Station

Technicians at El Verde have noted a visible amount of Manilkara bidentata seedlings around the El Verde Research Area. John Bithorn mentioned that it is common to see a few of these seedlings here and there, but that this year there are large conspicuous groups of seedlings. 

REU summer program at El Verde Field Station

The REU summer program in Tropical Ecology and Evolution ended with our annual symposium on August 2nd. All students did a great job during the summer and prepared great presentations. Here is the list:
