Sad News from El Verde
Our dear friend Annabel Edwards died of myloma on 18 November. Annabel has been visiting El Verde a couple of times a year for more than 10 years to work with her father Dr. Robert Edwards and brother Eric conducting research on spiders. When at home Annabel worked at Massachusetts General Hospital , Boston where she specialized in the treatment and management of pain. Annabel was a very special person, and a wonderful friend and we will all miss her very much. We extend our deepest sympathy to her family and friends.

New Publication
New paper accepted in The New Zealand Journal of Botany entitled "Early successional pattern and process after Sugarcane, Banana and pasture cultivation". I am the only author and the paper includes data from LTERDBAS #101.
