The Caribbean FRIEND/AMIGO project is holding a meeting on Caribbean Droughts in Santo Domingo Nov 11 to 13, 2002. IITF and the Luq-LTER will be represented with the following paper:

Scatena F.N., Larsen, M.C., 2002. The Impact of hydrologic droughts on freshwater ecosystems and water supplies of the Caribbean.

In addition, the symposium will result in a edited series of papers on Caribbean Droughts. Several other LTER sponsored papers have also been recently accepted:

Finally, between Dec 29-Jan 1, Karen Beard and I will be finishing survey of the coarse woody debris plots that were established several years ago as part of the Vogt NSF CWD project.
